Meet Victor Meldrew, an old age pensioner living out his retirement, tries to make the most of life taking up odd jobs but generally fails. He spends most of his time argueing with the neighbours or anybody who generally gets on the wrong side of him, but his long-suffered wife Margaret just has to grin and bear it as her husband constantly moans and battles his way through his retirement years. Victor's sheer bad luck and misfortunes leads to his ever famous saying "I Don't Believe It"!
